HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016

Dear Clients,

The festive season is upon us and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very happy, healthy and safe season!

We had a very successful year of workshops in 2015 and I would like to thank all the participants for their attendance and enthusiasm. For those of you who were unable to make it to the events themselves, you may request of your support worker the written support materials for whichever workshop(s) you might be interested in.

Going forward, should you have any suggestions of topics you would like to see covered in 2016 or 2017, I am as always welcoming suggestions. I do have some exciting topics already lined up for 2016 and will share with you here some of the highlights:

  • Private insurance and long term disability
  • An overview of, and navigating the ODSP system
  • HIV in relation to dermatology
  • Reserving your energy utilizing occupational therapy
    …and many more!

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank our therapeutic care team:

  • The acupuncturist team of Connie, Barbara and Gilbert
  • The massage team of Trillium College of Cheryl, Raghu and all the massage students

Without their generosity of donating their time and their continued professionalism, the outreach program would not be as successful as it is. Again I would like on behalf of ACAS and all the staff to wish you and yours a wonderful and peaceful holiday season. I am looking forward to seeing you in 2016!

Sincerely,

Kenneth Poon – Health Promotion Worker
